Page Notes: First, a bit of technical information. For those of us who are not civil engineers, Rebar (short for reinforcement bar), serves as a structural device to strengthen and aid concrete structures under tension. Point is the remnant of buildings and a parking structure that broke apart and slid down the incline during the collapse. As the concrete broke apart and twisted upon itself, the exposed rebar formed a "canopy" under which our two protagonists have been somewhat protected. On Page 21, the Netwights have crossed the rebar barrier and the world begins to close around Bradson and Frazier.

In this scene, Jackwraith and I pushed the characters physically closer to one another to communicate the growing tension... As the wights begin to throw themselves at the rebar canopy things look bleak. But the soldiers remain composed and go about their work. After all, they're professionals. Let's see how this turns out.
